There has been much discussion as of late concerning a method for releasing the low levels of energy we often hold within us which can ultimately lead to all manner of physical maladies. Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT for short, seems to offer a method for addressing physical and emotional issues where traditional “medicine” has failed or only produced marginal results. Developed by Gary Craig and based on the work of Roger Callahan, EFT represents a mixture of treatment modalities that combine elements of psychotherapy and the manipulation of specific points on the body that equate to meridians used in traditional Chinese medicine.
My interest in EFT was peaked due to the number of times I’ve come across discussions of it on other Law of Attraction based blogs. So, since I’ve made a life decision to be as open-minded as possible about new things that show up in my experience, I’ve decided to see what EFT is all about and how it might relate to Law of Attraction.
At this point, I’ve gone to Gary’s website and registered to obtain my free EFT manual and subscription to Gary’s newsletter. The 87 page PDF manual is said to contain the basic info needed to get started on your own. For a price, several DVD sets are offered that provide more intensive training. I have decided to begin with the free manual to see what information it holds that might be useful. My plan is to pass along my findings in future posts so be sure to stay tuned.
Until then, I’m wondering if any of you, my dear readers, have had any experience with EFT. Have you or someone you’ve know used this technique and, if so, what results have you seen?

I too have become aware recently of EFT. I printed out guidance on the technique from http://www.mercola.com exactly six weeks ago and….TA-DA!!!…tried it for the first time. And………hmmmm, didn’t hurt, felt kinda corny, and I’ll be trying it again. So there.

Hi Odessaliz!
Thanks for your comments. I haven’t had a chance to give this a try at this point but I’m curious to see what it feels like and what effects there might be.

HI Clyde,
Although I’m still new to using EFT on myself, I do find benefits in clearing out some negative energies. I use it many times througout the day including when I wake up, driving to and from work, at work (I go to the men’s room for privacy) and when going to sleep.
I recently ordered Carol Look’s book Attracting Abundance with EFT, that should be delivered soon.
I really feel good using EFT. It is really just one tool in my toolchest of personal development.
Best wishes

Hi Dean,
Thanks for your input. I’m curious if you noticed any big difference in either your thought process or the way you felt following your initial attempt.
Did you notice the immediate kinds of changes that are implied as part of the system?
I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been able to get back to reading the rest of the Getting Started guide that I downloaded from the site.
Thanks again!

Clyde,
It’s been awhile since I initially started using EFT, however, I do still tap ever day. Some days more than others.
The manual is a great starting point. I found some resources on Bob Doyle’s Wealth Beyond Reson site. I really enjoy using Carol Look’s Book “Attracting Abundance with EFT.” I’ve also bought the first two DVD packages of the EFT program.
If you’ve ever done anytype of energy work (Reiki, Thought Field Theapy, Massage, Accupuncture/Accupressure, etc.) you’ll see some similarities of releasing the blockages of energy.
