It really is the little things

Appreciate“I appreciate you just for being you.”
“You are special to me.”
“I value you.”

Take just a moment to think about the last time that someone said something like this to you. If it’s been to long to remember, then think about how hearing one or more of these statements would make you feel. Would hearing statements like these make your day? Your week? Your month?

If you think you are alone in your need to feel appreciated, be assured that you are not. The people in your everyday life feel exactly as you in this regard. The exciting part is you have within your power the ability to significantly influence the lives of the people around you, in very meaningful ways, simply by telling them how you feel about them.

With that, I challenge you to decide right now that you are going to make a difference in someone’s life and you are going to do it today. Don’t let the sun set without telling someone you care about how you feel about him or her.

You will be making a difference!

I am “Feeling Good” when I look at that sunset.. thanks! Great post on appreciation, and I always start with myself. When I take the time to thank my High Self, I easily radiate gratitude wherever I go.

    Hi Dana,

Thanks for your post. I just caught it in the spam filter and allowed it.

You are absolutely correct when you say that we should begin with ourselves!

I hope you enjoy the blog!

I “feel good” when I look at my 3 year old daughter. She pure joy, happiness, and love. In fact she actually says those three words to me daily!! She’s amazing……..

    Hi Adrienne,

    Thanks for your comment!

Children can indeed be our greatest teachers if only we take the time to really “hear” what they are saying to us.

If we could all approach our lives with the same kind of joy, happiness and love that we so often see in our children, just imagine what kind of world we would live in.
